I got married last week (!!), and have spent the majority of the days since reading on a recliner by the Aegean Sea. (Cue the eye rolls…)
All this free time has given me ample opportunity to catch up on everything Barbenheimer! I can’t think of the last time two movies were so simultaneously hyped, and I’m here for it.
Avoid the memes and go straight for the abundance of great longform, which, like the best media reporting, will help you see the summer blockbusters in a new light.
For a fascinating commentary on Greta Gerwig, feminism, and self-aware cinema, opt for Willa Paskin’s feature in the Times. For a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to produce a Christopher Nolan epic, check out the WaPo piece by Jada Yuan.

Hello, my name is Kyoko Nitta, a non-fiction translator in Canada. I was interested in translating your book, "The Good Enough Job" into Japanese. The rights to translate into Japanese has been sold according to your entry. Do you know if the prospective publisher already has a translator? Since I don't know the name of the publisher, I have no way to contact them directly. If you know, I'd like to get the name. BTW, I listened to your NPR interview. It was great!
