Bed habits
ABC 152: On whether you should look at your phone before bed
This week’s article has so much. New research that bucks conventional wisdom? Check. An investigation to which we can all relate? Check. Writing that’ll have you laughing out loud? Mate.
Ostensibly it’s a piece about a writer’s journey to figure out the truth about what helps us fall and stay asleep. But truth be told, the topic doesn’t matter much. Rachel Handler could make a grocery list jump off the page.
By the end, the article is a thoughtful meditation on how society deems certain behaviors “good” or “bad” when the truth is rarely as black and white. But whether you come for the philosophy or the zestful writing, I can guarantee you won’t leave disappointed.
Here’s the piece: Bed Habits
