ABC 146: On making room for bigger things
I’m thrilled to announce that my first book, Workism: What We Lose When We Expect Work to be More Than a Job, will be published by Penguin Random House at the end of next year!!! 🥳🎊🎉 🍾
I’m SO excited to dive deep on a topic that feels as relevant as ever, and to carve out the space to do so. As such, I’ve decided to pause The Article Book Club for a bit.
Writing this newsletter has been such a source of joy in my life for the past 5 years. Thank you for giving me an excuse to read longform every weekend and for the thoughtful responses you’ve written along the way.
I’m a big believer in creating room for the unknown. I hope I’ll be able to use the next few months to write, but also to rest, think, and give ideas the space they need to breath.
I have one final ask for you, dear reader: Will you help me find awesome people to interview? If you can spare 30 seconds to share your thoughts or recommend someone for me to interview, I’d really appreciate it.
I’ll leave you with a piece I wrote in 2018 that planted the early seeds of what would become the book.
Here’s the piece: Cushy office perks are a trap
Thank you for lending me real estate in your inbox for 146 (!!) Sundays. If you ever want to chat, you can always find me here: email@example.com.
