I’m excited to introduce you all to The Article Book Club’s youngest member. Luca Oliver Stolzoff was born on Thursday, March 6th, and we’ve since fed him a solid diet of long-form journalism.
Luca means “bringer of light,” and I can’t think of anything the world needs more right now. His middle name is after the poet Mary Oliver, so he’s already got some literary bones.
I’m going to take a break from the newsletter for a few weeks to bond with the little guy, but before I go, here’s a short essay on how the birth of a child is also the birth of a parent.
Would love to hear your best parenting advice in the comments.
Here’s the piece: On becoming a father
Warmly,
Simo
P.S. The song of the week is one of my favorites about parenthood. The full songs of the week playlist is here.
omgosh welcome to the world luca 🥹 sending you and katie all my love and some uninterrupted sleep!!
